MATT S., IRVINE, CA (NORTHWOOD H.S. STUDENT) COMMITTING TO HIS COLLEGE OF CHOICE!
Dear Tracy, Thank you for supporting me this past year through the college application season. It would be an understatement to say that you made the process much easier for me because you made it a LOT easier. I didn't even know how to research colleges initially, and you should me that. Also, through all my applications, you were patient and dedicated. You helped me perfect every single application, and I know that without your help, I would not have been able to write as many essays as I did. You were always there when I needed you and I am so glad we chose you as my college counselor. You're the best Tracy! Thank you for everything.
Love, Vainavi San Diego, CA (Canyon Crest Academy H.S. Student)
So much has changed since my husband and I applied to colleges in the late 80s! We relied on Tracy so much to help guide our son Thomas through every aspect of the college application process, including his athletic recruiting. She has an amazing breadth of expertise, resources and knowledge, along with exceptional organizational skills, sage advice and buckets of patience. She helped us find great tutors and exposed Thomas to many schools he may have never considered.
When Thomas starting working with Tracy as a sophomore, we thought it might be premature, but it turned out to be the best decision: it was instrumental in motivating him to work hard in high school to increase his options in college, and as a sophomore he still had plenty of time to keep moving his grades up. It also gave him more time to research and visit schools, and expanded his thinking and options about college, ultimately leading him to his “perfect fit” college.
One of the best aspects of working with Tracy is that she forges great relationships with her students, and parents can step back while she takes over with deadline reminders, applications and essays. Thomas really enjoyed working with Tracy and we all appreciated having her as a middleman to reduce family stress!
I strongly recommend Tracy without reservation. She is worth every penny and more. Ingelisa K., Irvine, CA (Parent of University H.S. Student)
“I was so lucky to have Tracy to help me through the college application process! Without her, that time of my senior year would have been so much more stressful. I went into the process having absolutely no idea what schools I wanted to apply to, but Tracy helped me choose a good list of schools to look at, and after her help researching them, I was able to come up with a list of schools I was proud to apply to. I feel that she really helped perfect my essays and feel confident in my applications. I’m so grateful! Sarah Zenas, South Pasadena, CA (South Pasadena High School Student)
I would like to thank Tracy for leading me down a successful college pathway. She was very organized and did an outstanding job reminding me of deadlines, critiquing my essays, helping me find the perfect college match, and just being there to remind me it’ll all be worth it. She was very flexible and was always there when I needed to ask a question or just needed some advice. She was also very knowledgeable when it came to knowing about research programs and extracurricular activities a certain campus has. Overall, Tracy did an outstanding job assisting me, and I highly recommend her services to anyone seeking help tackling the stressful college application process. "We have been fortunate to have Tracy by our side for the past 2 years. She covered so many aspects of this process that we were not familiar with, and guided us to make the best decisions. Furthermore, she pushed us all to take steps that we would not have taken. And above all, Tracy motivated and encouraged our daughter, Amanda to work harder. Amanda loved working with Tracy and has gained much self confidence during this process. The result, Amanda received the acceptance letters from most universities that she applied. But for us, witnessing the joy on Amanda’s face for getting in her top choice was absolutely priceless. Making the investment with Tracy is well worth it and eventually the outcome will pay for itself. We strongly recommend hiring Tracy for anyone who needs help with this challenging process. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions." Hamid and Zora K., Lake Forest, CA (Parents of Laguna Hills H.S. Student)

"My family and I want to thank you for all of your support and guidance through the college admissions process. Professional, organized, and efficient, Tracy was able to gather my son's college requirements and ambitions and recommend colleges based on his GPA/SAT scores and my son's interest. She did a great job of helping him fine tune his essays and used various methods to communicate including phone, email and web portal. She also kept track of the application deadlines and followed up with my son to ensure everything was on schedule. We highly recommend her and look forward to our younger son being counseled by her." "I owe a significant part of my success in the college preparation and application process to Tracy. Prior to working with her, I felt like applying to college was an impossible task, and I had no idea where to start. Working with Tracy helped me in every aspect, from deciding which schools to add to my Common App to writing and rewriting essays. From interviewing skills to reviewing financial aid offers, Tracy is well-versed and was able to provide me with all the necessary preparation and knowledge I needed to make informed and smart decisions. Her extensive knowledge for the academic world as well as her personal approach to college consulting creates a safe and resourceful platform for students and enables them to tackle the application process in its entirety." Sophia S., Irvine, CA (Student at Orange County School of Performing Arts)
"Tracy Haferling is outstanding on all fronts. She’s professional, bright, assertive, funny and great to work with. For the past year, she has tutored my son in writing and counseled him through the early stages of college prep. She’s made outstanding suggestions about the most current, best rated interest assessments, organizational software and other college prep online materials. Her past teaching experience is clear; she’s adept at working with teenagers and keeping them on task, and they like her to boot. Tracy’s approach to college counseling has removed an enormous amount of stress from our lives. I know she has everything under control and will follow up with every detail. We look forward to working with her for several years to come. Our 7th grade daughter is next." Marci W., Tustin, CA (Mother of Tarbut V'Torah student)
"Our son is a math and science kid, and writing does not come easy to him. Tracy was instrumental in teaching him techniques to improve his essay and composition styles. We found Tracy very professional, dedicated to her work, efficient, organized, structured, and she has a great knack for relating to teenagers." Janilla A., Tustin, CA (Mother of Beckman H.S. student)
"This whole college process is intimidating and stressful, and Tracy has a unique ability to help make this process more manageable and less overwhelming. I didn’t know where to start, and Tracy was able explain various aspects of the process such as financial aid, college visits, SAT/ACT testing, etc. so that I felt more confident moving forward. It’s clear that she knows how to speak to teenagers and develops a strong rapport with them. Sometimes it’s hard to for us to get our kids to open up, but Tracy was able to get my son to share some of his aspirations that I didn’t even know he had. When she learned about some of his interests, she created a list of colleges and universities for us to visit that had both the athletic and academic infrastructures that he is looking for. She also provided us with valuable resources to make the most of those college visits and gave my son access to a customized account, which allowed him to communicate his thoughts about each college. I highly recommend Tracy to anyone looking for help with this tedious process." Colette M., Aliso Viejo, CA (Mother of Aliso Niguel H.S. student)
